Ohio Lighthouse Bridges

Mom, myself, grandmom and my sister Justine went up to look at lighthouses and covered bridge tour in Ohio on July 16, 2022.  

The first bridge we did not get to see, the Liberty Street Bridge as it was closed and nobody was at the booth.

I do not recommend this restaurant.  There was a hair in the food.  The stairs to the back are steep and if you are short or tiny, you won’t be able to get on the talk chairs or stools in the back of the area.   

One of the guests was trying to flirt with my sister.  Mind you, she has a boyfriend.  We had to get directions which weeds not all that helpful.  

That was the last bridge we did before moving onto lighthouses. 

I believe it was this town that was a pain to get through and around.  Something was going on so there were a ton of cars.  

Eventually we made our way to Lake Erie.   Something I have wanted to see for years.  We did get lost though, going to a salt mine and winding up at another park that had a wedding I think going on. 

My sister had to run out to get this shot.  It was packed and we had to turn around at one point at this beach.

We then went to a confederate cemetery, Johnson’s Island Prison. 

As usual when I visit a cemetery, the next several photos are of graves of confederate prisoners.  I did not know Ohio had such a condensate prison, as this was not mentioned when I was in school.   Not even in university despite one of my classes being American History to 1865 covered it.
